School Time Again

It's back to school time again! Kylie is so excited and cannot wait to go back and see all her friends and carry her new backpack and use her new horse notebook. We went shopping and got her an entire new wardrobe. Now she won't sop talking about it.
Landon is a little excited about it. He doesn't talk about it as much as Kylie does but when I mention kindergarten he gets a small smile on his face. We found out that he will have Mrs. Smith for his teacher and that we know one of his friends will be in his class with him. He was excited to find out about that.
Chase is starting pre-school this year. He is NOT excited about it all. In fact he is fighting it tooth and nail all the way. I have a feeling that I will have to pull him off of me those first couple of days. He will be at Protestant Preschool. We haven't found out who he will have yet. We know it won't be the same teacher that Landon had and we are a little disappointed about that but we know that he will have an awesome teacher with whom ever he gets out there. We love that place and we know that he will too, once he gets the hang of it all.
I am totally excited about this year at school. With all the big kids in some sort of school this year Allie and me get to have some alone time. A few days a week we get to spend just her and I cuddling and really bonding.
Jay is off for now. At least until he finds a new job. He will wait to get the kids in school so that he can be a part of all of that before he goes back to anything. He wants to start his own business so we will see where that takes us.

Our World Has Changed

On July 10th, 2010 our world changed! Allison Nichole Warrick was born at 215pm weighing 7lbs 4oz and 20 1/2 inches long. She is amazing! She has a headfull of brown hair. Although I see a little bit of red coming out in it. She is so precious to me. I can sit and hold her for hours, although the boys don't like it when I do. Especially Chase! He is a little jealous over her. I am nursing with her so every time I sit down to feed her he wants something. He will get use to everything I hope sooner rather than later.
Everyone is doing great. Daddy is happy with the new addition. Mommy is overjoyed with her little girl. Kylie is loving having a girl in the house. Landon helps out when he can. And Chase still hasn't touched her. I think he is a bit scared of her.

It's A GIRL!!!

We found out that we are having a little girl. FINALLY! After all these boys in the family we now have a baby girl to dress up! Everything still looks good. She should be here around July 10th. Although Jay thinks she will come early. As long as she is healthly she can come early. I am so ready to start decorating her room. I have already been shopping and have her bedding picked out. I have to clean her crib up and paint the nursery but I still have some time before I have to do all of that.
We are just so excited right now and enjoying the moment!!

Lots of First

We have had a lot of firsts in this house. A week ago Kylie fell and got her first broken bone. And she did it good too! She broke her left arm all the way through. She had to have surgery the following day to have a pin put in and have some bone fragments removed. She goes next week for her first hard cast. She wants a hot pink one, of course!
Landon rode his bike all the way down the rode for the first time yesterday. He has never gotten on it and peddled but he did it yesterday. I was so proud! He is so excited that he and Kylie can ride bikes together now. Once she gets her cast off.
Chase stayed in big boy underwear all day yesterday. Another first! Looks like he will be potty trained before he is three after all! A first for the family. The youngest to be potty trained!! Yippie.
Jay and I went to the doctor for a check up on the new baby. We still don't know the sex yet. We will find out in February. I'm excited to know. I want to go shopping!! The heartrate is good. In the 170s. Everything looks good so far.

Another On the Way

We got the news a couple of weeks ago that we are expecting another little blessing to join our family. He/She will be here in July. Jay is so tickled. He has been attending all the appointments with me, which is a total shocker b/c he has never come before. He wants it to be a girl. I don't think that I really care if its a boy or girl yet. I would love to have a girl but a boy would be so much fun too. Prior to finding out that we were expected I had come to the realization that I was going to be a boy mom. Chase is almost potty-trained and I had started to get excited about not having to change diapers anymore! But no such luck.
More to come later. Stay tuned for an update of the sex.

Exciting News...Maybe

I got a phone call Wednesday night from the lady from Smart Start (program that runs the public school pre-k program). Landon is going to be transferred to Tommy's Rd. When she called I was uneasy about telling her to go ahead and move him. I figured he had already gotten used to his new school and he likes it there. But I told her to go ahead. We pumped up the fact that he would be going to school with Kylie and how exciting that would be.
He went for his last day at Small World on Thursday and I thought the teachers were going to cry. I hadn't realized that they would be so attached in this short period of time. Although who wouldn't get attached to my precious baby boy right from the start! So he gave hugs and collected all his things. And we left Small World. Maybe we will be back another year.
Today is Friday and it's Landon's first day. He only went half a day so he could get used to it. The morning didn't start off well at all. He didn't want to get out of the van and walk into the school. Even Kylie had no effect on him. He pouted and told me that he didn't want to go the whole way down the hallway. And it's a long hallway! And I had to basically drag him in to the room by his hair. I told him that I would not leave him until he was ready so I stayed right next to him. He did his morning activities like writing his name and washing his hands. Then he sits on a letter on the carpet and waits for breakfast. I sat there with him and we sang our alphabet together and looked around at the walls. Once the rest of the children were coming in I got up and walked around the room for a bit while the teacher did their morning thing. Landon said he didn't want to eat breakfast so he went to write in his journal. That's when I left. He kissed me and told me bye but didn't cry. I think he was ready and comfortable by then. I left and went to my class.
I picked him up at 1200pm. We walked in and he was showing his fire truck for show and tell. He said that he had a great day and that he could go back on Monday. So I don't feel as bad now. But we will see how Monday goes.

Week One...Down

Week one of Landon in school has come and gone. He did pretty good. There were some days where I thought I was going to have to tear him off my leg to get him to stay at his school. He is taking naps and actually going to sleep unlike his mommy who never slept at school. I guess I was too afraid that I would miss something. We took one final trip to the beach this weekend. The kids had a blast but getting back into the rhythm of getting up in the morning and getting everything done was hard. Especially after a long weekend. This morning Landon was not thrilled about going to school. In fact he started to cry and wanted me to take him with me to my class. It took some negotiating but I got him to stay. I'm curious to find out how he did today. He was probaly fine once I left. I just hate leaving him when he is upset but I know if I stay then he will just get worse. So I leave, heavy hearted!! Time to go pick up my big boy. More later on how his day went.
